A great performance by ATV capturing them in their transitional phase, caught between Punk ATV and the Good Missionaries. "Action Time Vision",is renamed "Action Time and Lemon" for this performance , a good sign that Mark .P was tired of clichéd Punk anthems. "Splitting in Two" is particularly intense,a great band at the top of their game.
This album is shared by hippie improvisers Here and Now, which contained DIY kings, Grant Showbiz and KifKif, the brains behind Street level and Fuck Off Wreckords.
The Here and Now side is more Proggy and Jazzy, but its an entertaining listen.Contrary to popular opinion not everything Hippie was shit, in fact I'd have to say a lot of the proggers and heads were more punk than the punks......and i must make it clear that I spend at least 50% of my listening time in a strange murky world of Prog Rock that doesn't include utter shite like Yes and ELP. Saying that prog = ELP is akin to saying Punk = Boomtown Rats......if you don't believe me force your ears to absorb Van Der Graff Generators' skin stripping classic "Pawn Hearts",amongst many others of the genre. Anyway, wasn't ATV prog-punk? Discuss.
Recorded using low fidelity cassette recorders on the Summer '78 free tour, sold at £1.75.

So I'm sitting here reading your daily blurb, when your mixpod starts playing WDE's Asbestos Lead Asbestos. It reminded me that there is still one WDE track that I don't have a digital copy of and wondered if you might? It's the b-side of that very same single "Beats Baby Hi". Here's hoping you can help... Oh and yes, ATV are a prog band, and that is most definitely not a bad thing.
Great post - fantastic album!
For more Here & Now, World Dom, Planet Gong, etc, have a look at Dave Sez' Here & Now Megaupload here:

Thanks pink press threat, will check out dave sez' mega post,no wait,i already did!....but in any case i have added you attractive looking blog to my blog list.Nice pic of Malcolm Owen in action.
I am devastated that i seem to have lost my digital copy of World Domination Enterprises....i'm sure i had it,but it aint there! Sorry Styreneboy, especially after helping me out the other day.Next time eh?
Great stuff. I have this LP tucked away. Have not played it in years. There were a lot of good 'hippie' stuff around - Gong, Hawkwind, H&N, Roy Harper...I think we all came together at free festivals like Stonehenge and Deeply Vale. Of course free festivals were another aspect of the DIY culture. The best gig I ever went too, was listening to The Ruts at Deeply Vale (which I think has now been released on CD).
Yes quite correct,Planet Gong's Floating Anarchy 1977 is a particular fav of mine.I am also the proud owner of the Deeply Dale festival 3hour long documentary on double DVD.Available I think from Tractor's website.....aint got the link but i'm sure y'all can do a google thingy.
I posted the link here onto the H&N Megapost, just as an alternative source. Some other stuff of yours is linked there too, as you said..the o12 being one I really liked :)
My blog! Aaargh I dunno what I'm doing there yet, but when I get time! Thanks though..
Keep up the excellent work; I love it here ;))
