Cardiacs second cassette (the first being released as Cardiac arrest) from 1981. Includes early versions of their "Hit", "This is the Life?".
Personally I find them a bit irritating in a clever clever kind of way, in the same league as The Legendary Pink Dots and the Deep Freeze Mice (both available on this blog if you like 'Oh So Clever' University types), but less annoying. As long as you don't see them performing, with the very silly gurning and affected geek mental hospital chic, they aren't too bad. especially as "This is the Life? is probably a number one song if it was by any other semi-popular group.
